About Us

Who publishes this site, why it exists, and how we verify what we publish.

Our mission

For years, the story of Robbinsville Akshardham has been reported in a biased way. This site exists so the volunteers who were actually there can put their firsthand experiences on the public record — in their own words.

Who is behind this site

Voices of Volunteers is a community-led project. Its contributors are the students, professionals, parents, retirees, and skilled stone artisans who gave years of selfless service (seva) to raise the mandir. The project is responsible for the content published here.

How we document and verify

We publish firsthand testimony alongside primary and secondary sources, and we link to them so readers can check the record themselves. For example, the closing of the federal criminal investigation is documented in the news reporting cited below. When new facts are reported, we update the relevant pages.
